Ms. Angela Dannson

Ms. Angela Dannson is an Agricultural Economist with 33years experience working in the public sector, at the Policy Planning Monitoring and Evaluation Directorate (PPMED) of the Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MoFA). Having joined the Ministry in 1988, she rose to the position of Director in 2014 and retired in January 2021. She is currently on contract appointment as USAID Embedded Advisor at the Ministry of Food and Agriculture, a position she assumed since July 2021.
For nearly two decades, Angela was at the centre of donor coordination; ensuring policy alignment and consistency with Development partner funded projects during design and implementation and facilitating sector policy dialogues among stakeholders especially the Agriculture Sector Working Group (ASWG).
She contributed to the design of several plans and projects in the sector such as the Food and Agricultural Sector Development Policy (FASDEP), the Medium Term Agricultural Sector Investment Plans (METASIP), the Canadian funded Budget Support Programme (2004 -2013), the Agricultural Development Policy Operations (I-III) (2008-2013) funded by the World Bank, the Ghana Agricultural Sector Investment Programme (2014-2021) and other IFAD funded projects, the AfDB funded projects including Rural Enterprises Programme and the Savanah Agricultural Productivity Improvement Project (SAPIP, 2018-2022) to mention a few.
She has a MSc degree in Agricultural Economics from Imperial College, University of London; and Masters in Governance and Leadership from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) and a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics from the University of Ghana, Legon, Ghana.
