To make gender equality a reality, ATB provides livelihood opportunities to marginalized women, school drop-out girls and persons living with disability, through skills development, social and economic empowerment.

Also, while supporting the advancement of the girl-child education as indicated above in SDG 4, ATB empowers their parents, through the creation of income generating activities, and skills training, as a sustainability strategy to enable parents continue financing the education of their children after our interventions phase out.

Sensitization and training of women and girls to recognize and take on their social and economic rights whilst strengthening and encouraging them to play leadership roles in the community, is at the centre of our work, with effective participation and decision making in social, economic and political spheres.
